Can you believe that my computer won't accept any new photos? Apparently the memory is full, and I don't know how to fix this. So I will post some pics taken back in April at Camden's swim meet. My friend took these, and they turned out beautiful.

This is Camden's heat at the start. She is the one with her legs and arms all over the place. I love it! She generates so much energy on her push off that she can't control herself!

Home Run Hitter!

Well, my Brooksee finally went deep, hit a dinger, a homer, a four-bagger, a bomb, a solo home run! He told me on the Friday before his tournament in Tampa to make sure and video all of his at bat's over the weekend, because he was going yard. Did I do it? Nope. But I will never forget watching him connect on the first pitch of his at bat and knowing immediately that it was gone! He almost tripped over first base, and legged it out to second, but as he rounded second base he fell into one mighty home run trot. I'm pretty sure he's been practicing that in his head for ages. I am so proud!!!

Cams & Her Art

We recently received exciting news that Camden's art was on display at the local bank. They held an afternoon open house to come and view all the artists on display. They had hors devours from a local restaurant and live music...very swanky! I was excited and proud her work was chosen.

Air Peej

Basketball season has begun, and this is the first season that ALL THREE kiddos are playing. Quite a mess to make all the practices and games, but thanks to neighbors, we are doing very well.
Palmer and Camden are playing in the Upward league, which is really neat. In Palmer's very first outing, he had 10 points and played superb defense, and Brooks and Camden were just beside themselves with pride! (I know, he is only 5, but still...what a little Air Peej!)

This is the pic that made me come up with the nickname, "Air Peej". Look at that serious air he's getting! Why, he's practically jumping out of the gym! (And if you remember anything about my playing days, you'll understand why this seems amazing to me!)

I figured I'd better update a bit since Halloween was AGES ago...
I had to post this video. Here's the setting: Championship game for the Boys Club League...down by 8...3:30 minutes to go in the game...4TH DOWN AND 7 YARDS TO GO...

What a throw...WHAT A CATCH! Triple teamed and everything! They don't connect here, we probably don't come back IN OVERTIME and win the Championship! It was all very exciting, and Tim and I went to bed with smiles on our faces that night. Good times!

Halloween 2010

We had another fabulous Halloween...my parents were here again, the weather was wonderful, and the kids were downright professional trick-or-treaters this year! I loved their costumes, especially Brooks'---he wanted to be an American Indian, and he really looked the part. I need to upload a color photo, but I loved how this one turned out.

Brooks played a baseball tournament in St. Augustine this past weekend. It was a beautiful weekend, and we played at an absolutely gorgeous park. I'm posting a few pics I thought turned out ok...

Here's Brooks at the beach (since we got eliminated early Sunday morning. BOO!!). He plays for the Gainesville Ghosts. And yes, they are burnt orange. Can't seem to get away from that color! ;-)

Not Proud At All!!

MY MAN!!!!!!!!! Who, by the way, is number 34 because his daddy was 33 and his mama was 42, so he wanted to combine the two numbers. Isn't that sweet!?! And maybe because it was Neagle's number, too. 34 BOOM!! ;-)

So my Brooksee had his first OFFICIAL tackle football game today, and he really played well! I was so proud!! And yes, his football team is the Longhorns, and we are yelling "Hook 'em" during the games, and it is a bit weird, but I'm proud of our team. Brooks caught three extra point conversions, and had a great catch over the middle of the field. (I'm hoping to post one of the extra point catches.) Tackle football is definitely a different beast of a game, but so far so good!!

First Family Gator Game

Is it fall already??? Why yes, it is!!! And that means it's football season! The Gator football team's home opener was this past Saturday, and we were fortunate to get tickets for EVERYONE in the family! (We only have four season tickets, and we have five people in the family...I'm sure you're doing the math right now!) So, this was Palmer J's first trip to The Swamp, and I do believe he had a great time. I think the girls of the fam looked especially cute in their brand new Gator tops! ;-) We had a fun time... I think the kids ate at least two ice cream sandwiches at halftime. (Probably their favorite part of the day!) It was a great Labor Day weekend, and a day we'll always remember!!

Blizzard Beach & Typhoon Lagoon

A few weeks ago, we tried our summer passes for Disney out at their two water parks. Honestly, it was totally fun! And Disney doesn't disappoint, with the themes of both parks being so different, and so catchy. I personally liked Blizzard Beach the most...

...since all the photo opps had skis and sleds in sand...

...and seeing snowmen when the temps were 95* just made it all worthwhile!

Typhoon Lagoon is also really awesome...

Braces!

These were taken a few weeks ago before AND after Camden's appointment to get braces! She has a bit of an underbite, and the doctor said she'd have the braces on for about a year. She will then have to have them when all of her permanent teeth come in, say, in junior high. I just can't tell you how much older she looks (and ACTS!) with braces. She's growing up too fast!

Dadgum Squirrel!

We have a bit of an open plot in the back corner of our backyard, so this year we decided to plant some tomatoes and peppers. It's been great to go out and check the growth pattern of these little plants, and the kids are so excited to come and tell me what needs to be picked.

Nice bell peppers...oh, and our jalapenos have been off the hook!!!

Everything was going well until one day I saw a squirrel with a tennis ball in the tree.

We were at the beach for the Fourth! A friend let us stay at their place, and the first two pics were taken just a block from where we stayed. Beautiful. Then we hung out with some friends at their condo on the beach. The kids had fun getting their hair striped with some USA colors. It was a terrific weekend. Thank you Jesus for our country!

Another Catch

This catch was at the end of the scrimmage. He came back & caught the ball, and even though you can't see everything, I was proud he had the presence of mind to try to stretch for more yardage. The only problem with this video is the gal next to me was rather loud and obnoxious. Camden was very offended by her. That made me laugh!

Tackle Football

Brooks had his first Football Jamboree tonight...not flag football, but TACKLE football. (Deep breath from me.) I didn't know what to expect, but I was excited to see that I just might have a little, er, TALL football player on my hands! ;-)
This was his second catch of the scrimmage. Not bad, as he was triple teamed. And I was explaining to Palmer how to get a first down, hence the "you can run it or throw it" comment from me. (complete with Okie accent, of course!)

OKC Marathon Relay

For those of you who have given me a hard time for not blogging lately (you know who you are, Torgerson's from Wichita, KS),
I HAVE been busy...busy running to train for the OKC Marathon. Well, the relay portion, that is!! What a great time we had! Laughed SOOO much the whole time (except when we ran, of course. Then we were just echoing Tara's mantra of, "What are we doing!!??") But even though it was cold & windy, we managed to place 14 out of 115 teams. Not too shabby, I must say!! So proud of everyone who ran, and especially proud of Lacy who made her way through the crowds of 10's of thousands to snap some pics of us running! Thanks, girls, for letting me be apart of this great experience! Love you!

Well, another season of softball is underway. We are currently 21-3 and ranked 6th in the nation. Time just keeps flying by, season after season, as is evident by the following pictures...my Brooks has grown up going to all the games, and only the jerseys have changed! I have enjoyed each school, and am having a wonderful time here in Florida. God is good!

Sorry I haven't blogged IN FOREVER!!! This is the most recent memorable experience for our family--Palmer graduated from White belt to Orange belt in Karate! It was quite the ceremony. He performed wonderfully! We call him our little "Hi-Yah" boy now! (And, last week, Camden decided to get in on the action, since she was just sitting around watching him anyway. More pics to follow!)

I have had the flu for the past WEEK. I slept like an infant---I had no control over when and where I felt asleep. (Good thing I never left the couch...) This is mostly why I haven't updated my blog LIKE I PROMISED MY FRIEND, DEANA! So, since it's the end of the evening and I'm having a coughing fit, I'll leave you with these pics.
We were in Edmond for the big Blizzard of '09. Kids LOVED it. They had been praying and hoping for snow since I made the reservations to go to Oklahoma back in October. Just today Palmer asked to go back. I thought he missed his Meems & Pops...he just missed the snow. (Kidding--I'm SURE he missed ya'll!)

Today is my parents' 37th Anniversary!!! They are crazy and funny and wonderful all at the same time. They have instilled such great qualities in me, and in turn I am passing that down to my kiddos. (Even all the Fred jokes!)

EYES!

When Palmer was 2, he developed a love for Thomas the Train. He would sit and watch those little stories over and over. If you've ever watched them, you know really the only parts of their face that moves are their eyes. Palmer's favorite was when the eyes would go round and round, quite quickly. He would then turn to someone and just say, "EYES!" So I reminded him of that, and he said, "Look mama, I can do those eyes." This is what I got. Hilarious!!! (Can you say slow motion eyes?) ;-)

Seaworld on Thanksgiving Day!

This Thanksgiving was one unlike I've ever had...no eating good, homemade food, no watching a football game, no naptime. Nope, none of that...but who needs a turkey when there's SHAMU??? ;-)
Our good friends from Norman were in Orlando for the Thanksgiving week. They had originally said they would come up to our house for Thanksgiving, but then had the thought that Seaworld would be a great place to go on that day instead. We decided to go, and had a blast. The kids had never been, and I hadn't been since I was 10 (when Fred & Sherri drove us from good ol' Woo ALL THE WAY to Orlando!), so it was fun! I enjoyed all the activities...but when Shamu splashed all the folks sitting in the first 10 rows, I laughed so hard! It was awesome! Anyhoo, not a traditional Thanksgiving, but one filled with lots of great memories!!!

The Magic Kingdom

While my parents were here, we made a day trip to Disney. It was a fun day, and we closed the place down....the kids are finally old enough to do that!! We started at Epcot, rode a few attractions, then made our way to the Magic Kingdom. The crowds were nice, and most rides we waited 10 minutes or less--a few we just hopped right on. The weather was beautiful, and it was a nice day to make some memories!

Halloween 2009

So....Halloween was great, or so I was told! ;-) Tim and I were at Florida/Georgia in Jacksonville, and didn't make it back to Gainesville until 8:15, after the kids had finished trick-or-treating. But we did pull up in time to see them handing out some candy (CUTE!), and saw what was left of their costumes. My mom & dad did a great job dressing them up and taking them around our neighborhood! The Gators won, and the kids SCORED some crazy amounts of candy, and everyone was in one piece! It was a terrific day!
Camden was a Geisha Girl, Brooks was Captain Rex, and Palmer was Commander Fox (Star Wars the Clone Wars....I know what you're thinking, and I have no idea either!)

My mom said Camden must've had Madonna's "Vogue" song running through her head the whole time she took pics....that made me laugh pretty hard! Btw, Cam's costume was under $20. I thought it was adorable!

Since we have hardly ANY time for leisure activities as a family, I have to rely on pictures at the Pumpkin Patch to be taken on the annual field trip day through the preschool. Which isn't a bad thing, it just explains why Palmer is the only one with me. Still it was fun, and luckily the sun didn't appear to make it too hot. He had fun, and his favorite thing STILL to do is run ON TOP OF the hay maze. Because going through the maze would just be too easy. :-)

Mysterious Ways...

Ok, so I couldn't get the best of pics...we didn't have bad seats, it's just with the dark, my camera wouldn't focus too far. But seeing those guys on stage was such a thrill!!

We went to the concert with our softball pitching coach and her husband. He loves U2 like me. We were on separate computers on the phone together trying to get these tickets way back in April. So exciting! We all had a great time!!

I had to pull way back to get the entire contraption of a stage into view. It looks like a spaceship, and toward the end of the concert, the lights and smoke made it look like it was taking off! The whole point of the stage is so most everyone in the stadium can see the stage, hence the "360* Tour" name.

Here is a few seconds of "Mysterious Ways". The crowd sang every song like it was karaoke night, including yours truly. (So don't try to listen too hard!) This was one of the best nights ever!!!! I LOVE U2!!!

Tim is accepting an award between the first & second quarter.

The team was recognized on the field for their SEC championship last season. They also showed the grand slam Ali Gardiner hit to beat Alabama in the World Series to go to the Championship game. The crowd gave them a standing ovation. I had major chills!!!

So Tim and I got to go on a pretty important date the other night...he was accepting an award for winning the SEC and being Coach of the Year for the SEC. So, I got my hair done (it's not as blond now, since I've washed it a few times), and a new outfit. Pretty fancy for me. Tim didn't look so bad himself. Palmer had a great first day of school yesterday! His teacher said he is a rule follower. Very good to know! And he didn't even complain when Tim fixed his hair with gel. It was a great day!!

This morning was the best first day of school we've ever had!! Easy, fun, and we're so happy with our teachers. God has blessed our family!!

Camden celebrated her birthday and is now 7! We did not have a party for her, and instead went to the Nick Hotel to celebrate. But, she couldn't understand why we weren't doing anything ON her birthday, so we had some friends over for lunch and a swim date at our neighborhood pool. It was a very fun day celebrating her birthday!!!

Nick Hotel

We had a fabulous time at the Nick Hotel. I highly recommend a one or two night stay...seeing all the characters was priceless!! The kids had a terrific experience as they were both pulled for a show and got to be on stage. No one got to be "officially" slimed by the gooey, ooey stuff, but we saw a couple of people who did, and it brought back many childhood memories!

So, yet another milestone was achieved in our household today when Palmer learned (in all of 2 seconds) how to ride his bike without training wheels! He took an interest last night when he asked to try to ride Brooks' bike. Too big. Then he tried to ride Camden's bike and did ok, but I didn't think about pushing it. This morning, he came into the garage to inform us that Ben, his buddy, had a BIG bike. I knew what he meant but ignored it. Then he point blank said to Tim, "Dada, I want these things OFF right now." So the training wheels were removed, and he just began to ride...like it's just that easy! He won't be 4 until September, so I thought this was pretty good!!

Today is Tim's birthday...he's the big 3-7!!! Unfortunately he's in Oklahoma, and we are all wishing he was home. I love these pics, aren't they precious!!? (I stole them off of Facebook--his mom decided to embarrass him with them today. Cute!), and it's hard to believe he was at one time a baby...just like our kids will one day turn 37! (Hard to believe, huh?)

This was Camden's first race of the day. Watch in the beginning as she jumps in with both feet instead of diving! We all couldn't believe it, but she said she got nervous. She might've had the girl if she'd have started the race with a dive. She's in the pink swimsuit. Both kids started strong but kinda got a bit tired at the end of each race. They've only been training for a week (we signed up late due to other commitments) and some of the kids train all year. So they did pretty well...just letting ya know!

First Swim Meet!

This past weekend Camden & Brooks participated in their first swim meet....and did really well! I was proud, especially of my Camden, who finished 2nd in her heat for freestyle, 3rd for backstroke & 1st for breaststroke. Her quote was, "Hey, at least I got all three colors--I got a red, white, AND a blue!" She competed so well, I just couldn't stop smiling!
And Brooks, well, he just goes and goes, and as usual, also made us proud! He had 2 first place finishes (freestyle & butterfly) & a 2nd place in backstroke. We didn't know when we signed up for the summer swim club that they'd have a meet, but it was nice to watch them compete in these strokes they've been learning. Anyhoo, hope you enjoy the pics!

Ok, FIRST OFF---notice the new pic of the three kids holding hands. HAD TO DO IT...it's a ritual every year, and quite frankly, the kids HATE doing it, but I love the end result! They are growing for sure!!!
I'll post a few pics of our 6 days in Clearwater, FL....it was terrific as always! Nothing can beat that water and the sugar white sandy beach. I'm always sad when we have to go.

The Fourth, 2009

Hope everyone had a wonderful Independence Day!! We did! We visited some friends who have a cottage on the Gulf in Cedar Key, FL. It's a tiny fishing village right on the water. We boated out to a remote uninhabited island and hung out while the men folk set sail to catch some dinner! (Which they did---Tim even caught a shark, and doggone it if I didn't get a picture of that!)
The kids had a blast just hanging out on the island, and tried to catch some fish of their own, with poles or nets. If you look around in the background, it just looks like old Florida. Palm trees and lots of spanish moss....pretty cool! Anyway, we ended the day with a cookout and watching the fireworks go off over the water. Loved it!

Brooks was in his zone! He LOVES this kind of stuff!

Brooks didn't catch anything in the cove where he fished...lost his bait a few times, though...notice the color of the ocean. Very weird. Almost looked like blood! Kinda gross, but they said it had to do with the outflow of a couple of rivers.

We have now been without Tim & Brooks for 11 days, and we've just done the minimal to get by, which hasn't been bad, since it's summer....But, we decided it was time for a trip to the beach. We had fun!

Cam's Haircut

Camden has great hair, and I'm not just saying that because I'm her mom. I am, however, going to say that it was becoming increasingly difficult to maintain her lovely locks, especially after swimming season had begun. So, we both decided that a haircut was needed, and rather than waste all that great hair, we cut enough necessary to donate to Pantene Beautiful Lengths. (This site only requires 8" instead of Locks of Love's 12", so it was definitely do-able for us!)
Cams is definitely a new girl with her short cut. She looks great, and she hasn't stopped smiling since!!!

World Series Bound! 2009

We won our Super Regionals yesterday, and are headed to OKC today!!! And in between packing bags, I thought I'd blog quickly.....
This truck was parked in the lot by the locker rooms. It is a photo of our team taken from a picture on our schedule cards... ON THE BACK OF THE WINDOW!! Talk about Gator spirit!!

WE WON!!! I'm so excited! We beat Cal AGAIN, and they were pretty close games.

My biggest bummer of the day is I missed the girls dumping a whole ton of water on Tim...but since he was soaked I know they got him good!! Tim was giving an interview to our radio guy, Adam. He is currently sporting a "rally 'stache!"

Tim kissed one of the mom's of the girls....with her wax lips on! They thought it was a hoot!

Today I strolled into the Gap and found some sales, so I decided to shop. I found Brooks an outfit that looks so handsome on him. But that's not the point. The point is: he's only 9, and he's already into size a 12!! (Size 7 shoes, if you were wondering!) I don't know why I'm so surprised, but even Tim commented that the shorts were gonna be way to big for him, until I had B try them on--they fit like a glove! Who is this man, and what has he done with my little boy!?

For the record, and as part of a flashback Friday, here is my handsome man when he turned 3. THAT WAS JUST YESTERDAY!! (or so it seemed!)

I am beginning a new project for Camden's class at school, so I decided with only 5 weeks left in the school year, it was time to actually take some video & pics. Here are a couple from Monday. They have grown so much over the course of the Kindergarten year. So cute! And I wish my computer would let me load video for my blog, because I had some great movies of Brooks pitching his heart out this past weekend. He was really on....he pitched 6 1/3 innings and only allowed one run, 3 hits, 2 walks and a hit batsman. I was so impressed, and excited that he was excited---he's the youngest on his team, and doesn't always get to play such a big role. It was great!

4 WEEKS!!

I didn't realize it had been 4 WEEKS!! since I'd last blogged. Where does time go? We've been busy with Brooks' baseball season, traveling all over North Central Florida at least twice a month. And then there's Tim's team, which I'm happy to report that they are once again SEC Champions!!! So exciting! Now I'm ready to gear up for post season, which will hopefully include a trip to OKC again! Oh, and Kindergarten graduation, Teacher Appreciation Week, countless projects, etc., etc., etc.....But I'm thankful!!

Education Fair

Yesterday evening was the annual Education Fair at Hidden Oak Elementary. Since we live so close to the school, we decided to walk while the kids scootered/biked. As soon as we got there, Camden & Brooks participated in a 1 mile Fun Run. I wasn't sure what to expect, but they both did really well. Brooks ran his mile in 7 minutes & 4 seconds, and Camden ran her mile in 9 minutes & 30 seconds! Neither one stopped at all, and it just made me so proud! Then Brooks had his 3rd grade recorder concert. Very informal, but memorable, none the less. It was a terrific evening, and I'm really proud to have the kids at Hidden Oak!

What A Day!!!

What a day we had today! First of all, I got to enjoy a double header in a relaxing state due to the fact that Camden and Palmer stayed home with a babysitter. That's the first time I've ever NOT taken them to a game, and as much as I hate the fact the whole family wasn't there, I enjoyed not chasing kiddos all day! The second thing I feel worth mentioning is that with the first win today, Tim became the all-time wins leader at Florida for softball. It was pretty cool when they announced that at the game...Tim even gave a little wave to the crowd! And for the finale........I got to meet, and Brooks got his picture with, drum roll please...................

Can you even believe it?!

TIM TEBOW!!!!! He was so sweet and was very kind. He shook my hand, and shook both boys' hands. (The other boy was Brooks' buddy, Trevor.) The two boys were speechless! I wasn't, but I did have butterflies while talking to him! I'm sure the boys will remember this forever! (I know I will!) What an experience, and what a day!!!!!!!

Bloggin' Time

Here are some pics from last weekends baseball tournament. We've had beautiful weather, and the kids got to swim, or rather play water polo, after the games of that day. The biggest news from last weekend is that Brooks got to start a game as pitcher for the first time ever! He did well, striking out 6 in 3 innings and giving up only 2 earned runs. We are proud! Skate Station!

Aunt Jess is in town, so that means FUN TIMES ARE AMONG US!!! (Candace, did you like that? :-)) Every 4-6 weeks, the school has a fundraiser at the local skating rink. The kids love to go skate and see their friends & teachers. The problem I run into is having Palmer there. He won't skate, so he gets bored, and then picks fights with other kids....it gets to be a bit much. But since Jess was here, she got to take them, and they all had a blast! They wore red so they could get a free red snocone. Notice my son's outfit...he really thinks that's the way to go when it's chilly here in Florida. Long sleeves and long socks and ALWAYS SHORTS! I'm glad they got to spend some time with Aunt Jess!

So I had a request to blog, and this post is dedicated to her, my very pregnant friend from Wichita! These are some pics I took at the softball game the other day. Palmer J, whom we also call PJ, or Peej for short, wanted to hang out with Alberta, the mascot. Then, for some strange reason, he sat still for a whole inning. It was fun. We giggled and took pics and watched the Gators score!! Good times! Hope everyone is well!

Sometimes, when you have two boys who would rather wear dri-fit shorts and shirts EVERY SINGLE DAY, you forget about ever dolling up your kids. But I made sure to make Camden feel special this Valentine's Day. She was so excited when we got this outfit, and she told me she couldn't wait to wear it so she "could be the prettiest girl in school!" I'll have to admit, I was excited, too! I got her a cute pair of pink Converse All-Stars to go with the outfit, but they were too big. And note the cute Valentine colored bow in her hair-----I ordered it from Leia! Thanks...she loves the bow, too! Happy Early Valentine's Day, everyone!!!

My Budding Artist

I never thought this would ever happen, so it makes me so proud to share that Brooks' artwork is currently being displayed at the Florida Natural History Museum. He was excited to come home and tell me that his teacher had chosen his work, and I was excited to go and check it out! The assignment was to paint a picture of the everglades. He described his work as inspired by "Whoville" from the Grinch Who Stole Christmas. I think he was right on! I'm sure you will be proud, Mrs. Whiteley!

Seeing Stars?

Since we have moved in (almost 3 years ago), I have not purchased any decor for the house. First reason is that the nearest Hobby Lobby store is almost 50 minutes away. Secondly, I guess I was trying to save a little money? But I needed a new look, and began with my bedroom. The bedding was relatively expensive, but I did get the lamps for under $12 each (!), and the other decorations were inexpensive, too. But I liked the way the black, red and cream looked together, so I found some decor at Hobby Lobby last week that seemed to work for my living room, and the result is in the pictures. I like it! But my mom keeps asking me what my deal with stars is....I don't know. Maybe because stars are easy to find, and I always find them on sale! If I find any before pics, I'll throw them in.
I know this makeover doesn't include paint...I'm so scared to do that. I can't commit to a color, and my kids always get into the supplies and it makes me psycho. If I can't fathom how Mandy does these painting makeovers in a weekend, Lacy, I don't know how you're doing it with little ones!!

New Year's Eve/Day 2009

We were so fortunate to have such beautiful weather all Christmas break, and into the New Year. Our friends, the Bates' family, invited us to share New Year's with them in Venice, FL. It's on the gulf side, and really beautiful. We ate on the pier at Sharkey's on that evening, did some fireworks on the beach when the sun went down, and hung out the rest of the evening. But New Year's Day was really awesome! We first went to a high school field to have a workout...the kids are working on running form, and they got a big workout!! Then we headed to a somewhat secluded beach, and played in the sand, body surfed (yes, I got in the cool water and caught a couple of pretty decent waves!), and (drum roll)...DUG FOR SHARKS' TEETH!! That was the best thing I've ever done, and we found so many! What a way to start off the year!

I know not everyone enjoyed the outcome, but the National Championship Game was pretty intense & awesome! I had a blast, and got to see a bunch of our OU friends, plus got to hang with our Gator friends, too! I just wanted to share a couple of pics. Lots of fun...Go Gators!

These are our friends who happen to be "Gator greats". They rode to the game with us. The Gator fans were coming up to the windows and asking to take pics with the guys while they were in the car. Then when we parked, the car was swarmed with people wanting autographs. So I told them I wanted a part of the action. I might have them autograph the picture, too. :-) Too funny!

Today was the annual Christmas luncheon for my group of girlfriends, and it was lots of fun. Christine brought fun drinks for us to try, and they were delicious AND festive looking! This is a special group, and I'm proud to know them all! (Sheryl, Sharon, Christine, Tina Sue, Me & Stephanie, L-R) Merry Christmas to all my girls this season. Wish we could do this together, too!

6 Random Things....

Ok, I haven't done this yet because I can't do that link thing. I am not very good with the computer. But here are 6 random things about me.....

1. I love Spongebob Squarepants. All the time I'll say to random kids, "Hey, remember that time on Spongebob...." I think some parents are frightened.

2. I have my own batting song (in my head), and it changes from time to time. (Batting song=what you hear when a batter comes to the plate) My current batting song is "Super Hero" by Jane's Addiction. I'll play it and announce myself at bat.

3. I'm obviously weird. (Should I have even listed #1 & #2?)

4. l have never been a big fan of feet; however, I LOVE little kids' feet in flip flops. So cute!

5. Sleeping is my favorite thing to do.

6. I would rather clean than cook.

Parading around the sanctuary didn't seem like a problem...he gave me a HUGE high-five when he saw me!

Right before the program started, he found me and smiled and posed for a picture. After that....

...it stopped. He went totally stoic the rest of the program, not singing or performing the moves. He did sing Happy Birthday to Jesus at the very end, but that was it. I asked him why he didn't sing in his program, and he said, "Because, it's totally boring." I'm wondering who he picked that up from.....BROOKS, CAMDEN!!!!!!!!!

We decorated the tree a bit later than the kids wanted to...we've just been so busy. And I hate that Christmas was only 4 weeks from Thanksgiving. I don't feel as into the spirit this year, and lots of others feel the same. But it's so important to share with the kids the true meaning of Christmas, and after the tree was decorated we had a story and a prayer. But no hot chocolate this year. It was 75 degrees this day!

Tim and his buddy James are headed to Atlanta as I'm writing this for the SEC Championship Game between Florida and Alabama.
It's sooo exciting, because the winner is headed to the national championship game in Miami, and will probably meet Oklahoma in that game. Tim is beside himself at that possiblity. He's a Sooner alum and a coach at Florida---how will he ever choose who to root for? Anyhoo....the Gators and Sooners have to win tomorrow for that dream to come true!

I am so thankful for my family!! We saw nearly every member of Tim's family while in California, and on Thanksgiving Day, we got to iChat with my parents and sister. We're so blessed! Knott's Berry Farm

I wish I could explain everything that went on at Knott's Berry Farm---we had a blast, and spent some quality time with Grandma & Grandpa, Tim's sister, husband and two boys, and Tim's best childhood friend, his wife and two little ones. But the Ghostrider (a wooden rollar coaster) was the big deal of the day. Uncle Tony decided to take Brooks on the coaster, and when Camden saw she was big enough to ride, she went through the gate, so I followed. Long story short---it was no "cute coaster" as I thought it might be. It was FIVE MINUTES of living hell! The best part about it--Uncle Tony bought the VIDEO of him and Brooks' ride. It's the funniest thing I've ever seen. Brooks' face the entire time had me laughing so hard I cried! He said he may try to download it onto youtube.com, so if it gets there, I'll let everyone know!!
