This past Friday Camden was chosen as the Shining Star in her class. I was so proud! Those of you who know Camden well KNOW there is no telling what the child will say or do, so I was a tiny bit worried when she started school. But getting this award this early in the school year is a very good sign--she's doing great! I love my Cams! (and she also lost 2 bottom teeth last week, so she looks like a jack-o-lantern!)

Happy Birthday, Palmer J!!!
Skate Station for Palmer J
For Palmer's birthday, we took the kiddos to a place called Skate Station for our elementary school fundraising night. We told Palmer that it was his birthday party. He knew lots of kids and people there, so I think it was somewhat believable!! He had fun in the "climbing thing", playing putt-putt, and doing just a bit of skating. Good times!
Fall Soccer
Oh, Miss Camden...she is one child I'm sure I won't ever be able to figure out, but I love her dearly! Case in point: she played her first soccer game of the fall last week. She was aggressive. She was determined. She drove down the field with a purpose. The problem: she didn't score a goal, and she let everyone hear it immediately after shaking hands with the other team. HOLY EMBARRASSMENT!! So I gave her a pretty firm talkin' to, and I hope at some point that makes a difference. She did score two goals yesterday during her second game, so she seemed to be in much better spirits. What a girl!!!
Posing for a pic.
Getting the pre-game "strategery" from the coach.
Cam is in the middle of pic with the black ribbon in her hair. (what up, bow girls!)
Right before the "explosion"!!

My Bohemio
Since tomorrow is Palmer's 3rd birthday, I thought I'd flashback (not too far, obviously--one has to have age on his side to really flashback). These are a few of my favorite pics. And the naked cowboy, well, he's still naked all the time, so some things never change! I just miss all that blond hair. Happy Friday!!

The Three Amigos!
Last night, Brooks and his buddies, Nate and Jake, got to see the Tampa Bay Rays play the Boston Red Sox. I'm sure they had a blast, but the 3 dads that went may have had a better time! Tim caught a batting practice homerun, and Brooks said, "Mom, if ESPN had been filming, Dad would have made the number one Web Gem!" Boys and baseball....

I'm into the Flashbacks....
I found some old cds of photos, and wanted to share a few. These were taken in Wichita, KS, when we actually got cold weather. I just want to eat Camden up, and I can't believe how much Brooks has grown. These take me back! And I added the family pic from Thanksgiving, 2003...it's a bit blurry, but I think you can see by her expression that Jess looks soooo thrilled to be there! What I wouldn't give for some of my mom's cooking right now!!

Florida/Miami Game
Tonight Tim's Gator softball team was recognized during the Florida/Miami football game in the Swamp. Very exciting. I snapped some great pics of our time--in the stands AND on the sidelines--UNTIL the recognition took place and as I pressed the button to begin filming the announcer calling out the girls' names (to which the crowd went WILD, especially when they called the name of our pitcher, Stacey Nelson, and, I have to add, Tim got a good roar, too) AND MY CAMERA SAID "MEMORY SPACE FULL"!!!! I almost cried and threw up at the same time. What a travesty. I'm still so proud of the girls, and I hope they can continue their success this year, too. BECAUSE THE NEXT TIME WE GO ONTO THE SIDELINES, MY CAMERA WILL HAVE PLENTY OF MEMORY SPACE!!!

Flashback Friday
Hat Day!
On a few Fridays throughout the year, Brooks' (and now Cams') school allows the students to wear a hat for a $1 donation to raise money for our safety patrollers to go to Washington, D.C. Well, normally Brooks just wears a baseball cap, but he decided to get a bit "goofy" with his choice of hats today, and Camden saw his choice and raised it with her witch hat (Tim was not excited about their choices--he is an anti-goofy guy). The hat Palmer has on is the one I tried to get Cams to wear---it matched her Hidden Oak shirt PERFECTLY--- but, alas, mom's opinion doesn't mean that much! I hope they have a fun Hat Day!
